How Long Will It Take To See Results?

The solution will dissolve the fat cells, which then undergo degradation and absorption by the body over a length of 4-6 weeks. Therefore results can take several weeks to become visible. Two to four sessions 4-6 weeks apart are expected for best results. ​ The swelling may last for several weeks in total, but the worst of its over after about three days.

If symptoms persist or other reactions occur, please contact The Manse ​ Where possible, please use the 3 Cs of post-treatment outlined below, as well as any other instructions given by your therapist. ​

COOL: Use regular cold compresses in the first day. The pain sensation will last a few hours. Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours

CALM: ​ Pain relief such as paracetamol may be taken as directed by your physician Do not massage the area

CLEAR: ​ Avoid alcohol for 24 hours Do not use active products including AHA, Retinols, Vitamin C etc Makeup can be applied 24 hours after procedure

This treatment is not suitable for certain clients, such as pregnant or lactating women or those with certain health conditions like diabetes, liver or kidney disease or skin issues

It is not unusual to experience some mild side effects following treatment Bruising is possible Swelling is usual and can be intense in the first few days If you feel unwell or are concerned about any aspect of your treatment please contact the clinic. ​ A rarer side effect is scarring, which has been reported but isn’t known to occur with any regularity. ​

Its also possible you could have an allergic reaction to one or more of the substances present in Aqualyx.

One of the biggest advantages to fat dissolving injections is that the results are permanent. Once a fat cell has been destroyed is it permanently removed from your body.
